Terms of Service

The short version

localbot is a service run by Fokusbloks Oy, a Finnish limited company. You pay a monthly or annual fee to use it. You can cancel any time. If localbot breaks, we'll fix it or refund you. Don't do illegal things with it. Finnish law applies.

1. Your account

You need an account to use localbot. You agree to give us accurate information and keep your login credentials safe. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.

2. The service

localbot provides a contact form widget that delivers submissions to your phone by SMS. The specific features, limits, and prices are listed on localbot.io. We may change, add, or remove features at our discretion, but we won't remove anything core to the service without letting you know first.

3. Payment and guarantee

Subscriptions are paid upfront — monthly or annually in advance. All new subscriptions come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact us for a full refund, no questions asked. Prices are displayed in EUR or USD depending on your region. Finnish VAT applies to customers in Finland.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card data.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate partial months. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to all new subscriptions — email support@localbot.io within your first 30 days for a full refund.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use localbot to:

• Send unsolicited SMS or marketing to people who didn't contact you
• Collect data in violation of the GDPR or your local privacy law
• Break Finnish or EU law
• Interfere with the service or reverse-engineer it

We can suspend or close accounts that violate this.

6. Your data, your visitors' data

You own the data you submit. We process it under our Privacy Policy. For your website visitors' data, you are the controller and we are the processor. A standard GDPR Data Processing Agreement is available on request from privacy@localbot.io.

7. Uptime and support

We aim for high uptime but don't promise a specific SLA on self-serve plans. Issues can be reported via WhatsApp (linked at the bottom of the page) or support@localbot.io.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Finnish law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost leads, business interruption. This doesn't limit liability for intent or gross negligence.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

10. Governing law

Finnish law applies. Disputes are handled by the courts of Helsinki (Finnish consumer rights not limited by this).
